Echidna Silver Coin
Struck from 99.9% pure silver in proof quality, this coin depicts a unique interpretation of an echidna – an Australian monotreme, or egg-laying mammal. The design is enhanced with a coloured representation of the landscape.
Limited Mintage
The Perth Mint will release no more than 10,000 1oz silver coins depicting an echidna. Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Legal Tender
Issued a legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of HM Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.

Available in individual presentation packaging, this coin can also be acquired as part of a 2009 Five-Coin Year Set and a three-year 15-coin subscription.
