Saltwater Crocodile Platinum Coin
Struck from 99.95% pure platinum in proof quality, this coin depicts a unique interpretation of a saltwater crocodile, the world's largest reptile, which lives in coastal waters and rivers across northern Australia. The reverse includes a coloured design in the background. Available in two denominations: $50 and $15.
Limited Mintage
The Perth Mint will release no more than 1,000 1/2oz platinum coins and 2,500 1/10oz platinum coins depicting a saltwater crocodile. Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Legal Tender
Issued a legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of HM Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
