Emu Gold Coin
Struck from 99.99% pure gold in proof quality, each coin's reverse design represents an emu, a large flightless bird and an Australian emblem. A coloured background is incorporated into the design. Available in three denominations: $50, $15 & $5.
Limited Mintage
The Perth Mint will release no more than: 1,000 1/2oz gold coins; 2,500 1/10oz gold coins; and 25,000 1/25oz gold coins depicting an emu. Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Legal Tender
Issued a legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of HM Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.

Available in individual presentation packaging, this coin can also be acquired as part of a 2011 Five-Coin Year Set and a three-year 15-coin subscription.
